Market Recap – Q2 2026, “Regime Change”
Fed Chairman Kevin Warsh took the podium for the first time in June, with a more hawkish tone than expected. The dot plot showed nine of 18 officials projecting a rate hike by year-end, up from zero in March. One projection, Warsh's own, was missing from the chart. The United States experienced the longest federal government shutdown on record, beginning in October and stretching into mid-November.
